The product should be cleaned after the cleaning instructions below. The product should be stored safely in the Travel Pocket while not in use. The Filter is not washable and contact with water must be avoided. Make sure to wash your hands and use hand sanitizer both before and after cleaning the product.

1. Disassemble the product.

Un-hook the Head Strap from the earloops. Remove the Valve Caps or Valve Stoppers from the mask. Detach the velcro between the Mask Skin and the Filter. Remove the Filter from the holes on the Mask Skin.

2. Hand or machine wash the Mask Skin, Head Strap and, Travel Pocket.

Wash in 60°C water. If hand wash is used, do not put your hands in the water. The water is warm and could cause burn. Use a suitable tool to rub the parts in the water softly. Hang dry for at least 24-hours or until dry.

3. Wipe the Valve Caps and Valve Stoppers clean with a disinfecting wet wipe, a tissue soaked or sprayed with disinfectant or a similar disinfectant product that can be bought at a pharmacy. Products approved for EN 1500 is recommended to be used.

4. The Filter material cannot be washed. However, some parts of the Filter can be wiped clean with a disinfecting wet wipe, a tissue soaked or sprayed with disinfectant or a similar disinfectant product that can be bought at a pharmacy. Products approved for EN 1500 is recommended to be used.

The figure below shows what parts can be wiped clean. Wipe the inside and outside of the valves, the blue silicone disc, and the nose-foam clean. The inner and outer filter surface should not be wiped clean as it can affect the filtering efficiency. If these areas get dirty, use a dry tissue to remove the dirt.

The quality of the product can only be guaranteed up to 25 cleaning cycles. Stop using the product at the first sign of damage.

If one of the blue silicone discs would pop out of the valves on the filter during assembly, use, or when cleaning the product, it can be reattached. Please check support.airinum.com for instructions.
New replacement Filters to the Urban Air Mask can be purchased at airinum.com or through your local reseller.
